If you were to ask people what the most important relationship that they had was many, if not all would say their families, their children, friends, partners or even their co-workers. Did you notice something missing from the list of examples that are noted above? Yes, that’s right! Many would never think to add themselves to this list and there are many reasons for this. Today we are told if we thought the most important relationship we had was with ourselves we would then be classified by others as egotistical or self centered. But what we do not realize is that, the most important relationship we have IS with ourselves as we spend the most time with ourselves than we do anyone else in the world. The next time you are asked what relationship is most important to you tell them it is yourself without feeling the need to hide in shadows for fear of being classified as something you know that you are not. Stand tall and be proud of who you are and where you are heading in life, there is only ONE you and YOU must live with you and what makes YOU most comfortable, living any other way is not really living. Take a long hard look around at everyone you see and glance at the wonderful qualities that they have and you will find as you observe yourself more and more each day that you also have these same qualities. These people are your friends for you attract the things that are in you, “like attract like” as the saying goes. Start an ongoing relationship with yourself and learn more about you, you might just be surprised at how much more attractive you are to yourself and you will notice that others will be more attracted to you as well! Once you find yourself in a much happier place and are able to accept yourself for who you are on the inside as well as the outside, you will start to notice the change in you which will create a ripple effect in your attitude as well attracting to you those who think and feel the same as you do leaving you with many friends and feelings of blissfulness that would never have seemed possible before. With the attributes you do not like do not judge them just notice them without judgment and allow yourself to learn from them then change what you can, IF you can. Balance is very important for a healthy life style so remember this as you constantly find yourself judging those qualities that you do not like. Having a healthy dose of self esteem and confidence goes along way and what you put out will come back so, take care to observe your thoughts and actions while remaining faithful and loyal to yourself. Have the patience and keep the faith that you are the most important person in your life, without you, you are nonexistent therefore any relationship would be impossible as you are nonexistent, am I right?
